Guess who's back, back again!

Well then, already a month into this adventure and I have come to realize that public transport can indeed be worse then the NS in the Netherlands....I did not think that could be a thing.

Nonetheless lets start off with the positive news, after 3 days of walking around, dropping cv's and offering myself to other people....well not really, but as a barista of course, I landed a job.
I am now officially a barista at Bluebird Espresso, a shop that was recently taken over by new owners and is starting from scratch.
The first few days were hard, we have a standard blend that is easy to get used to, but we have a single origin coffee for our black coffee's and surprise surprise....it changes every 2 weeks!
The first few days were horrible and I had to really get used to the volume and new coffee's but now that I am more comfortable it's great and I have already made so much progression in both practical and theoretical levels.

To elaborate on the fact PT is worse here....well the problem lies with the bus.
Drivers will literally not care about other traffic and just barge 60 to 70 in a 50 zone or they will decide to just pass by your stop if they don't feel like stopping.
Yeah...that's a thing, and its great when you have to be at work at 6:45 and you are already running late :D!
Well....now I'm taking trams, and if I can give anyone coming to Melbourne some advice...stick to them!

I'm not sure what I have and have not shared in my last blog since it has been a while, but I am trying to land another job for the days that I have off right now.
Yes....I'm going to be crazy like this, I want to work 6 days a week for the next few weeks to safe up as much as possible and then just relax fully on my roadtrip.
Roadtrip you say? Yes indeed, end of May I will start a roadtrip and hopefully head down to Tasmania first with the rest being unknown after that.

I've met and seen so many wonderful people in the meantime, backpackers come and go and notable people have for sure entered my life.
I'm surprised at how much I feel at home here, there is barely any stress and meeting people is easy, even tho it is a challenge to approach strangers over and over again, but it is a learning curve and it makes you realize how friendly and open 95% of the people are.

Also, it was my birthday recently and lucky for me we had 2 awesome people over at the place I'm staying that unknown to me found out and made a special Brazilian treat for me and I was just so touched, which for those that know me, doesn't happen easily.
Even tho on my birthday itself I realized that I had no direct family around me which hurt a bit, there were many people to compensate and I got so many lovely messages that made up for it.

The last few days the Formula 1 Grand Prix has also come to Melbourne and it's noisy to say the least, the apartment is about 150m away from the track and windows shake and shiver when they pass by, it is quite the spectacle to listen to.
Sadly tickets run from 100 to 650 dollars, something I cannot afford but oh well, another time.

The only thing that I am having a hard time with is finding a room, the new student year has just started and most people would rather take in a student that will stay for 2 years then a backpacker that will stay for 10.
It is getting to the point of where it frustrates me but I'm trying not to get too thrown off by it.
It will most likely fall into place when I keep searching, worst case I will go to a hostel for a while and try and work there so that I don't pay as much.

Just a heads up, if you want to see picture, check out my Instagram or Facebook because from this laptop it is a massive issue to upload pictures to the blog.

I will try to write a bit more often but there is so much happening that I cannot cover it all since it would just stress me out and that's not going to happen here ;) sorry boys...

Geweldig om zo veel nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten en ervaringen op te doen. Die kamer zal uiteindelijk wel goed komen denk ik .' K zal voor je duimen! !.
